Assetto Corsa EVO Update: Three New Cars and Mandatory Pit Stops

Global publisher 505 Games and world-renowned racing studio KUNOS Simulazioni are pleased to announce that the 0.9 update for their PC early access racing simulation game, Assetto Corsa EVO, is now available.

Version 0.9 is themed around competitive spirit, offering players new opportunities to showcase their diverse and deep driving skills. The brand-new "Special Events" game mode features racing scenarios carefully curated by the developers, with specific track and car combinations, complemented by persistent global online leaderboards.

The long-awaited "Mandatory Pit Stops" option also makes its debut in this update, adding new layers of detail related to fuel optimization and tire wear to multiplayer races.

These new features are further supported by three new cars from two iconic automotive manufacturers—Audi and Mazda. They are the Audi R8 V10 performance quattro, the Audi R8 LMS GT2, and the Mazda RX-7 FD Spirit R (Type A).

《神力科莎 EVO》更新:三款新车 强制进站功能

In addition to implementing new force feedback and input optimizations, KUNOS has introduced a new "Slick Tire" model for all GT cars (from the Mazda MX-5 Cup to the Ferrari F40) in the 0.9 update. This comprehensive improvement significantly enhances the consistency and realism of the handling model in Assetto Corsa EVO.

For a detailed overview of the highlighted additions in the 0.9 update, see below:

New - Special Events

Players can access the "Special Events" mode from the main menu. This mode combines specific car models with specific tracks, requiring players to complete clear objectives and upload their results to persistent online leaderboards. This represents a new form of asynchronous competition in Assetto Corsa EVO, designed to enhance the game's replay value.

New - Mandatory Pit Stops in Multiplayer Races

In response to long-standing community requests, players can now add mandatory pit stops to multiplayer races. Track speed will no longer be the sole determinant of victory. Tire condition, fuel consumption, and optimizing pit stop timing to maximize the potential of "undercut" or "overcut" strategies all add new strategic depth to races. Players can automatically set and adjust their strategies during the race via the on-screen Multi-Function Display (MFD), including selecting which tires to install, setting tire pressures, and determining how much fuel to refuel.
