According to multiple sources including MP1st, Insider Gaming, and well-known leaker NateTheHate, the first wave of GTA 6 media previews will officially be unveiled next week.
Reportedly, journalists from multiple gaming media outlets were invited to attend a closed-door demonstration event hosted by Rockstar Games this July. However, attending journalists did not get the opportunity to play the game themselves; the event only showcased game content through demonstrations.
The first batch of media previews will be officially released on August 27, 2026. On the same day, Rockstar Games will also premiere a gameplay demonstration of GTA 6 on Netflix. The demo is expected to go live at 3:00 AM Beijing time on August 28, lasting approximately 20 minutes. Afterwards, the demo content will also be available on Rockstar's official YouTube channel.
It's worth noting that NateTheHate confirmed the leaked videos circulating online recently are from an old test build over a year ago, not content from this media preview. Therefore, the official demonstration and media previews on August 27 will be the reliable window for players to see the latest look at the game.
GTA 6 is scheduled for official release on November 19, 2026, launching on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
