Assassin's Creed Odyssey is currently the highest-rated game in the series on Steam, with an approval rating of 89%. It has surpassed Assassin's Creed II (which holds an 86% rating on Steam) from 2010, and its success is largely attributed to Christopher Nolan's film Odyssey.
Thanks to the movie's box office success, many players turned to Assassin's Creed Odyssey to delve deeper into Greek mythology. The game saw a significant increase in players across all platforms, adding 250,000 new players.
On Steam, the concurrent player count for Assassin's Creed Odyssey doubled after the movie's release, despite it being a single-player adventure game launched in 2018.
