As the gaming industry rapidly shifts toward digital distribution, "GTA 6" has set a precedent by launching exclusively as a "digital edition," and Sony has announced it will completely phase out discs starting in 2028. Consequently, many fans are concerned that the highly anticipated domestic action game "Phantom Blade Zero" may also not receive a physical release.
However, a recent statement from major Asian retailer Play Asia has alleviated these concerns. In response to a user's question about opening pre-orders for either the physical or digital version of the game, a store representative confirmed that pre-orders for the physical edition have already begun, with the box containing the full disc.
Although S-Game Studio has not yet officially confirmed a physical edition, considering that Sony is about to hold a dedicated State of Play to introduce the game, an official announcement is expected to be made soon.
