The physical collector's edition gift box for the domestic wuxia blockbuster "Phantom Blade Zero" has seen explosive popularity. Pre-orders on JD.com have surpassed 32,000, but the official limited run is only 20,000 units. This significant supply-demand gap has already led to resale markups on second-hand platforms.
The gift box is priced at 1,199 yuan and will be available in two pre-order batches. The first batch opens for pre-order on August 14, with sales starting at 12:00 PM on August 17, and shipments scheduled to coincide with the game's release before October 29. The second batch opens for pre-order at 6:00 PM on August 17, with sales starting at 12:00 PM on August 19, and shipments guaranteed by December 31 at the latest.
The gift box does not include a physical disc. It contains a WeGame Digital Deluxe Edition redemption code. The included merchandise features a 1/12 scale articulated figure of the protagonist "Soul," a double-headed eagle statue, a full set of weapon hand accessories, a Flaming Lion Head necklace, a White Python and Red Chain keychain, an Armory Artbook, and Character Wanted Posters.
Due to pre-order numbers far exceeding stock, some sellers on Xianyu are already preselling unshipped gift boxes for 1,599 yuan, a 400 yuan increase over the original price. Sellers list the items as factory-sealed with cash-on-delivery shipping, while also requiring buyers to cover the price difference if they cancel their orders. Many players have criticized this scalping behavior.
