Publisher Shiravune has announced that ShiroKuro, an adult visual novel created by Japanese artist and indie developer Shuntouyu and renowned Japanese writer Kazuya Izumi, will launch on Steam with official Chinese support. The game was initially released in Japan on DLsite and Fanza in December 2024. Shuntouyu has contributed to adult visual novels such as Love, Election, and Chocolate and Meteor World Actor, as well as the light novel series Paradise Noise. Kazuya Izumi is known for adult titles like Kuroinu and The Sinful Dead Girl Awakens in the Mansion (commonly known as Dead End Aegis).

The story of ShiroKuro revolves around Minagawa Tooru, an ordinary and slightly otaku high school student. Thanks to his hobbies, he met and started dating Nagisa Shiro, a silver-haired beauty who loves making high-quality cosplay costumes. They have been together for a year, and their relationship seems unbreakable. That is, until his childhood friend, the long-haired Chouno Kuro, re-enters his life, now troubled by a certain physical condition.
Although Tooru and Kuro were once close, they gradually drifted apart after Kuro rejected Tooru's confession years ago. Despite being a shut-in who often skips class, Kuro is actually a diligent student who hopes to return to school. With so much history between them, Tooru can't help but feel conflicted between his current girlfriend and the girl he once loved.
ShiroKuro is a single-ending short visual novel developed by the doujin circle Asobu Akinashi, led by Akinashi. The Steam version supports Simplified Chinese and features full Japanese voice acting. Although no release date has been announced for the global version, Akinashi has promised to update the Steam store page as soon as the date is confirmed.
