Capcom has released a new trailer for the sword-action game Onimusha: Way of the Sword, titled "Severing Fate."
Trailer Description:
"Musashi visited a shrine famous for severing the threads of fate, but there he discovered a twisted entity devouring innocent wishers. In Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Musashi will visit many places inspired by real landmarks in Kyoto, such as Yasui Konpira Shrine.
Oni Notes: Miyamoto Musashi
Musashi wears a "Dochu Kappa," a type of travel attire used for protection against cold and rain.
By chance, he was forced to don the Oni Gauntlet. To hide the gauntlet, which easily draws attention, he draped a raincoat he found on the road over himself.
There's a subtle detail in the game: Musashi throws his travel raincoat behind him during combat because it gets in the way, then pulls it back in front after the battle to cover the gauntlet.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is scheduled for release on September 4, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Windows (Steam/Epic), and Nintendo Switch 2. A demo is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic.
