Concept art for the unproduced film The Sinister Six, developed by Sony in the mid-2010s for its Spider-Man cinematic universe, has surfaced online.
According to early leaks, part of the Spider-Man film's plot was set in the Savage Land depicted in the images—a prehistoric island teeming with dinosaurs and dangerous creatures. The story was also said to involve portals and time travel.
The project was to be directed by Drew Goddard, but was shelved after the massive 2014 Sony Pictures hack. These concept images were released by artist Victor Martinez, who confirmed they were created for this project. Rumors suggested the film would have featured a star-studded cast, with the story centering on the Sinister Six as protagonists teaming up against Spider-Man.
