The development team behind "Calamity," a large-scale fan-made mod for the critically acclaimed classic game Terraria, has announced that they are terminating the project. It's quite a pity, as the mod had been in development for ten years.
"Calamity Mod" is a major unofficial mod for the PC version of Terraria. Announced in June 2016, it adds numerous new content elements, including more bosses and biomes, as well as a high-difficulty mode. It is also one of the most popular mods available for tModLoader, the modding tool for Terraria.
On August 9, Ozzatron, the core manager of "Calamity Mod," was reported by an anonymous forum user for past misconduct. As a result, many developers left the project, and promised licensed music was canceled. The remaining developers stated that they could no longer continue development.
