According to renowned insider Tom Henderson, the collaboration between Rockstar, Take-Two, and Netflix is so lucrative that GTA 6 may have already generated revenue equivalent to selling 1 million copies before its release.
Henderson pointed out that the specific financial terms of the deal will likely never be made public, but he is confident that the amount involved is substantial. "Thanks to the deal with Netflix, GTA 6's revenue has likely already exceeded the equivalent of 1 million units in sales. I doubt we'll get exact figures, but it's a huge sum, which is precisely why Take-Two sealed the deal." Under the agreement, Netflix was granted permission to showcase an extended gameplay trailer for GTA 6 six hours early.
Given the immense anticipation surrounding GTA 6, analysts had already predicted that the game would break sales records upon release. Deals like this can generate hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for publishers even before the project launches.
