Recently, the official account for the movie "The Wandering Earth 3" released a statement sending birthday wishes to actress Michelle Yeoh and unveiled her character's promotional photo from the film.
The official Weibo post read: "For the movie 'The Wandering Earth 3,' Little Broken Ball and Ball Dad @GuoFanFrantGwo wish Teacher Yang @MichelleYeoh a happy birthday! Radiant as you are, you deserve all the beauty in the world~".
In the photo, she is dressed in a police uniform, portraying UN Police Officer Amanda Chang in the film. According to Wu Jing's behind-the-scenes updates, their characters do not exist in the same timeline, with him joking that "Michelle Yeoh is the real deal, while Wu Jing is 'fake'."
"The Wandering Earth 3" will be released in two parts. The first part is scheduled for release on February 6, 2027 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), while the second part is expected to arrive during the summer season of 2027 or the Spring Festival period of 2028. In addition to Michelle Yeoh, original cast members including Wu Jing, Andy Lau, Li Xuejian, Qu Chuxiao, and Zhao Jinmai are returning, with Shen Teng, Ma Li, and Feng Xiaogang joining the franchise for the first time.
