"The Elder Scrolls VI" Will Have a Subtitle, Possibly Eight Letters Long

Eight years after The Elder Scrolls VI was first announced, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma recently revealed the latest progress on the title, stating that she had watched a "live demo" of the game. She also hinted at the game's subtitle, which may consist of eight letters.

She said, "The scale and grandeur are incredible, and the story itself is even more compelling."

What's more intriguing is that Sharma included an asterisk in her post, possibly hinting at the game's subtitle. Her post consisted of exactly eight characters, sparking widespread speculation among players about its meaning.

The Elder Scrolls VI will likely have a subtitle, just like all previous mainline entries in the series. These include The Elder Scrolls: Arena, The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

The Elder Scrolls VI is one of several new games currently in development by Bethesda and its partner studios. Other projects include remakes of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, while Obsidian Entertainment is working on another new Fallout title. Fallout 5 is also in development.
