The TV anime adaptation of Hyuga Natsu's novel, The Apothecary Diaries, has released its key visual, trailer, and other details for Season 3, which will officially premiere on October 2nd.
Set in a fictional medieval era, The Apothecary Diaries follows Maomao, a young woman who originally worked as an apothecary in the pleasure district but now serves as a maid in the imperial palace. When she hears rumors that the emperor's sons are dying at a young age and learns that the surviving princes and princesses are also suffering from serious illnesses, she begins investigating the cause. In the third season, the stage shifts to the city, where Maomao and Jinshi will face new challenges.
Along with today's information reveal, the official announcement confirmed that Ueda Reina will voice the character Bai Niangniang. The anime opening theme featured in the trailer is "Kumo o Nuke Kaze Shita e Watashi Dake" performed by Yorushika.
