More images of the previously leaked packaging for The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller have been exposed.
Twitter/X user XX_750000 shared (via content creator Behind the Games) new images of the previously leaked packaging for The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller. The controller appears to be part of a series of Zelda 40th Anniversary products, which also includes a Legend of Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch 2 console.
The Twitter/X user also shared a second image, showing a covered item placed next to the packaging for The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller. He claimed it was another Nintendo product that he could not disclose. As shown in the image below, he added a digital ruler to give an idea of its approximate size and proportions.
Recently, images of the packaging for The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Nintendo Switch 2 console and Pro Controller have been leaked. Back in March this year, rumors circulated that Nintendo would release a Legend of Zelda-themed limited edition Switch 2 console to coincide with the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. This news came from leaker Shpeshal Nick on social media. According to this source: "As a follow-up, as far as I know, we will see a Zelda-themed limited edition Switch 2 console. Not sure if it will be bundled with the game."
Last month, game journalist necrolipe mentioned that he had already seen the aforementioned controller but was unsure if a themed console was also in the works. According to him, the design of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Pro Controller will feature green tips—similar to the style of the Splatoon-themed controller—paired with gold accents. The Triforce emblem is said to be located centrally between the - and + buttons.
Nintendo has not yet announced the release date or pre-order details for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Any announcement of themed hardware is expected to happen simultaneously.
