Recently, consumer data analytics firm Statista shared a survey chart showcasing the popularity of gaming console platforms in the United States.
Among 3,200 respondents, 46% voted for the PS5, showing its clear popularity. Ranking second is the Nintendo Switch with 33%. In third place is the PS4, still frequently used by 27% of respondents despite being a previous-generation console. Even the PS3 made it into the top 10.
Although Xbox series consoles didn't make it into the top three, the Xbox One is more popular than the XSX|S on the chart, while the Switch 2 ranks lower than both. However, this chart focuses primarily on console platforms and does not include PC, so it only allows for horizontal comparisons within the console gaming sector.
