Sony recently released a promotional video highlighting the features of "Phantom Blade Zero," focusing on the immersive experience on consoles. The game will launch on PS5 and PC platforms on October 29.
New Trailer:
The video highlights the full custom adaptation for the DualSense controller. Adaptive triggers simulate the varying resistance of different weapons, providing different levels of button resistance when swinging heavy weapons or drawing a bowstring. Haptic feedback recreates various vibration effects such as clashing blades, skill activations, and rainy environments, allowing players to intuitively feel the impact of each sword clash through the controller. The game also supports PS5's 3D spatial audio, enabling players to identify enemy positions by sound alone and anticipate ambushes from all angles.
The PS5 version offers both Quality and Performance modes. Quality mode runs at native 4K resolution targeting 30 FPS, while Performance mode runs at 2K resolution targeting 60 FPS. Featuring semi-open level design, the game boasts an extensive arsenal with over 30 primary weapons and 25 secondary weapons. It also includes multiple difficulty settings, with bosses in the highest difficulty learning and adapting to players' attack patterns.
