Recently, the official Minecraft account posted an image on Twitter with the caption "Finally... Sitting in Minecraft." This nostalgic message marks the realization of a feature players have wanted for 17 years: the ability to sit normally.
Since the early versions of Minecraft launched in 2009, "being able to sit properly" has been one of the most requested features. A seemingly simple action, it carries the expectations of countless players for immersion and social atmosphere. Chatting around a campfire, resting side by side in a tavern, striking natural poses in builds... Until now, these scenes could only be awkwardly achieved through mods, stair glitches, sitting in boats, and other "clever tricks."
In 2026, the developers finally delivered: the new item, Cushion, is officially available. The crafting recipe is straightforward—three wool slabs—and it comes in 16 colors. It can be placed on any flat surface, allowing you to sit down gracefully with a right-click.
