Today, the official announcement confirmed previous hints, declaring that the classic ARPG "Terranigma" is making a comeback. It will launch in 2027 on multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, GOG). Although it is not a remake, it has been optimized and adjusted for next-generation consoles. Kamui Fujiwara, the famous manga artist and original character designer, shared his message, expressing great anticipation and delight.
Kamui Fujiwara stated:
"Terranigma," released thirty years ago on the Super Famicom, has finally reached the day when we can collaborate once again.
With both console and PC versions available in digital and physical formats, it’s not an exact replica but rather a return optimized for modern environments, which brings me deep comfort from the bottom of my heart.
During the development of the original, I wasn't just in charge of character design; I also contributed to aspects like the game's worldview and content.
Gods and humans, destruction and creation—we want current players to experience the atmosphere of that world. This is not something outdated, but a work that remains alive to this day.
After a long wait, it is finally here. Please enjoy the excitement.
