Recently, the Soulslike action game "Just a Dog.exe: Stray on the Roadside," developed by the domestic indie game team Parry Frames Studio (Honghun Production Group), officially launched its store page on Steam. This hardcore action game featuring a "stray Dog.exe" as the protagonist quickly attracted attention from many players due to its unique character setting and gameplay that pays homage to Sekiro's "clashing swords" mechanics.

The story of "Just a Dog.exe: Stray on the Roadside" is set in a chaotic medieval era. Players take on the role of a nameless hound adopted by a down-and-out retired knight. When his master is captured by the Legion, the loyal hound resolutely picks up his master's broken sword and ventures alone into the war-torn battlefield, embarking on a journey to find his owner.
The development team stated that they aim to break away from traditional "heroic narratives" and instead tell the story of "a tiny creature relying solely on sincere loyalty to confront the entire world in turbulent times." This perspective, which sees the big picture through small details and is driven by emotion, has become a major highlight of the game's storyline.
It is worth noting that the developer, Parry Frames Studio, is not a novice team. Their previous work, "Crimson Oath," faced criticism from players for its artistic presentation. After this setback, the team reflected deeply and expanded their development group from just 3 people to 9. In this new title, the team has comprehensively upgraded scene construction, visual effects, and animation fluidity, aiming to restore their reputation and deliver a more polished product to players.
Currently, the Steam page for "Just a Dog.exe: Stray on the Roadside" is live, and players can add it to their wishlists. However, the official release date and pricing have not yet been announced.
