At the D23 Fan Event held today, SIE unveiled the latest trailer for Marvel's Wolverine, showcasing intense battles between Wolverine, Jean Grey, and the X-Men against Bolivar Trask and a host of deadly villains.
Marvel's Wolverine is the second Marvel superhero adaptation series developed by Insomniac Games, the studio behind the Marvel's Spider-Man series. It injects superhero expertise into this new adventure, offering an original interpretation of Wolverine and his iconic "claws." On a journey to uncover his mysterious past, Wolverine will use every tool at his disposal—his claws, rage, and determination—to cut through the fog and solve the riddles of his former identity.
Marvel's Wolverine is a single-player adventure game focused on brutality, violence, and high-octane action. Centered around an emotionally charged original story, it tells the tale of the comic book legend, Wolverine.
Logan can utilize special combat moves called "Techniques," such as "Tornado Spin" and "Bull Rush," to tear enemies apart. Meanwhile, Jean uses her powerful telekinesis to devastate foes and create openings for lethal strikes. These powerful finishing moves can be executed by Logan alone or in combination with other characters. Every successful attack, block, and kill builds up Logan's Rage meter. This allows him to unleash more powerful attacks or activate his healing factor to survive severe injuries. When Logan's Rage exceeds its limit, he enters the third stage of fury, turning the screen black, white, and red as he sweeps through enemies in a berserk frenzy.
Marvel's Wolverine will be released on September 15 for the PS5 platform.
