XinZhi Studio has released the first major update for its highly acclaimed 2D construction and management game, "Remnant Skyland," bringing new gameplay features and changes. Let's take a look.
"Remnant Skyland" is a 2D simulation and city-building game. In a world of shattered floating islands, you must lead your residents to develop technology, plan production, and build your aerial settlement from scratch. Use ingenuity and creativity to gradually connect and decorate isolated islands, crafting a sky home worth dreaming of.
Update Overview:
Bring resources where you need them
Resource nodes shouldn't dictate the layout of your base forever.
Now, you can use Resource Capsules to collect resource nodes from the wild and place them wherever you need.
Perhaps you want to consolidate your entire production area.
Maybe you've found a perfect spot for a large settlement, but struggle with insufficient nearby resources.
Or perhaps you just want your base to look neater.
Now, you can plan your base first, then decide where resources should be located.
Let survivors focus on more important tasks
As your base expands, repetitive gathering becomes an increasingly burdensome part of your survivors' daily routine.
The addition of mining machines aims to change this.
Leave mining to machines and free your survivors from the repetitive task of gathering resources.
They can focus on production, construction, exploration, and other tasks that truly drive your base's growth.
An ever-expanding home shouldn't mean increasingly repetitive labor.
Let your base flow
As bases become more complex, simply having production facilities is no longer enough.
Resources need to be transported, and facilities need to be connected.
Therefore, we have added a brand-new pipeline system.
Liquids and gases can now be transported within your base via pipelines.
You can start planning your own transportation network, creating more complete production chains between different facilities.
From individual buildings to interconnected production systems—
Your base is evolving from a "collection of buildings" into a truly functioning home.
The world begins to conform to your plans.
You can build a compact industrial base, or designate separate areas for production, housing, and decoration.
Bring resources home, let machines handle gathering, and connect your entire production system with pipelines.
Layout according to your ideas, expand according to your plans, and continuously evolve with every choice you make.
Some additional changes
In addition to new base-building mechanics, we've also made several optimizations to the gameplay experience.
Clearer reading experience
We have optimized font display in the game and fixed display issues occurring in certain language settings.
We hope that regardless of the language you use, you'll find it easier to read and understand in-game information.
A smoother early-game experience
We have reworked how resources are obtained in the early game.
Now, you can obtain sand from the wall behind the initial dirt pile.
We want players to enjoy a smoother early-game construction experience when first stepping into this sky world, without needing extensive extra exploration just to find sand.
Existing saves remain compatible
If you've already built your sky home in "Remnant Skyland," don't worry about this update.
You can directly load your existing save files to experience the new changes brought by this update.
