Recently, Hello Games founder Sean Murray spoke with Kotaku about the studio's new title, Light No Fire. The game currently ranks second on Steam's Most Wishlisted list, just behind Valve's own game, Deadlock.
Murray revealed that they originally planned to show more content to the public, but seeing the game rank so high on Steam's wishlist, they felt there was no need to rush into further promotion.
Light No Fire is currently in good development shape, and the team is ready to reveal more information at the right time. However, unlike the massive marketing campaign before the release of No Man's Sky, the studio hopes to keep a low profile to avoid repeating past mistakes.
Murray said, "I've learned a very important lesson: don't talk about things too early. What we have created now far exceeds what should have been revealed at this stage. We will let players see more content at some point."
Announced in 2023, Light No Fire is an open-world adventure game focused on multiplayer co-op, set against the backdrop of a fantasy planet. Although Hello Games mentioned the game in 2024, the studio has since maintained a low profile.
