Recently, Square Enix released a new character trailer for Final Fantasy Echoes, featuring the classic character from Final Fantasy III, the Onion Knight. Following the Warrior of Light and Noctis, the Onion Knight becomes another revealed Echo summon partner.

The Onion Knight is one of the four youths chosen by the crystals. With solid swordsmanship skills and a highly flexible class role, he can freely switch between three combat forms during battle. He can engage in close-quarters combat with a sword, transform into a Ninja for high-speed突袭 (raids), or become a Mage to cast powerful spells for ranged damage, balancing both melee and ranged capabilities. This makes him a highly practical and versatile teammate. In a world where the light of the crystals is constantly being eroded by dark forces, the Onion Knight will fight alongside other Final Fantasy Echoes characters to help the protagonists turn the tide of battle.
Final Fantasy Echoes will be released on October 22, launching on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Foreign media reports that among all the currently revealed Echoes characters, the versatile Onion Knight is the one who has sparked the most curiosity.
