Since its release in 2013, GTA 5 remains one of the most popular games on the market, firmly holding its place among the best-selling games of all time. However, an iconic unfinished skyscraper in the game—known as "Above the Clouds"—has remained under construction stagnation for 13 years, becoming an enduring meme within the player community. Now, this suspense finally comes to an end.
Rockstar Games recently confirmed the launch plans for the popular RP server NoPixel V and teased new locations to be added to the server map. In the official screenshots released, players were surprised to discover a brand-new building named "Pixel Hotel"—the final completed version of the skyscraper that had remained unfinished for 13 years.
Although this building has always been referred to as "Above the Clouds" in-game, the NoPixel server has given it the new name "Pixel Hotel," which clearly fits better with the role-playing server's setting. When NoPixel V officially launches on September 8, players will have the opportunity to unfold storylines within this new landmark.
Over the past few years, many players speculated that this abandoned building might be completed in a GTA Online heist update, but this idea never came to fruition. Although the building appeared in the preparatory stages of the Cayo Perico Heist, it was still shown in its unfinished state.
Now, with GTA 6 set for its official release on November 19, Rockstar has put an end to this 13-year-old GTA 5 meme in such a unique way.
