Former Tekken 8 Director Kohei Ikeda Announces Move to SNK's VS Studio, Reuniting with Harada

·As expected, when key members leave a company, like-minded colleagues often follow suit. Previously, two leaders of Bandai Namco's Tekken 8 announced their departures in succession. On August 18, director Kohei Ikeda confirmed he had joined VS Studio SNK, officially reuniting with Katsuhiro Harada.

·Kohei Ikeda worked at Bandai Namco for 20 years before announcing his departure in June this year. He initially contributed to the development of Soulcalibur IV and later took on the role of solo director within the Tekken development team. Ikeda once stated that his time working on Tekken was one of the most precious experiences of his life.

·VS Studio SNK was established by Katsuhiro Harada, the father of Tekken, with support from SNK. Yuichi Mihara, another core developer of Tekken 8, has also joined VS Studio SNK. The studio is currently working on a brand-new next-generation fighting game—stay tuned.
