On Tuesday, a new wave of GTA 6 leaks began circulating, showcasing gameplay footage from the yet-to-be-released game. Although Rockstar has not confirmed the authenticity of these materials, some videos started being taken down after receiving copyright complaints, further fueling suspicions that the content is real.
Removing copyright-infringing content does not actually serve as official confirmation that the leaks are genuine. However, the reasons cited in takedown requests for posts about these materials have fueled discussions among players regarding their authenticity. For instance, some bloggers who published the leaked content removed large portions of their articles after receiving Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) infringement notices.
The timing of this leak is also noteworthy. On August 27, Netflix will host a special showcase titled "GTA 6: An Extended Look," promising a more detailed look at the highly anticipated title. These leaks emerged just as Rockstar was preparing to officially reveal more details.
GTA 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X on November 19, 2026.
