The gamescom award is organized by the German Digital Games Culture Foundation and serves as the official award for gamescom, the world's largest gaming event. Notably, previous winners of the "Most Epic Game" category include globally top-tier IPs such as The Legend of Zelda, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Resident Evil: Requiem. Tides of Annihilation's victory among such strong contenders speaks volumes about its quality.
Following the premiere of the new trailer "Veil of the Past" during Opening Night Live and the public demo at Booth B-050 in Hall 6 of the gamescom exhibition center, the game captivated attending media and players with its exhilarating combat, cinematic presentation, unique Phantom Knight system, and epic boss battles. The distinctive setting, blending Arthurian legends with a "fractured London under otherworldly invasion," serves as the perfect testament to this honor.

"Gamescom is one of the most influential events in the industry. We are honored to receive the 'Most Epic Game' award here," said Chen Qi, Game Director of Tides of Annihilation. "From the very beginning of development, our goal was to reinterpret the classic Arthurian legends from the perspective of a Chinese team. This trophy is a tremendous affirmation of our development team's hard work, creativity, and passion. To emerge victorious among so many excellent nominees is both encouraging and deeply appreciated."
Following Black MYTH - Steam Edition: Wukong, Tides of Annihilation has become another Chinese single-player game to win a major award at gamescom. From the thousand-player demo event at Eastern Suburb Memory in Chengdu to the awards stage at gamescom in Cologne, Germany, Tides of Annihilation is bringing its magnificent fantasy to a wider world.
