One of the core charms of the Grand Theft Auto series is satisfying our wildest and most absurd criminal fantasies: planning heists, engaging in thrilling car chases, and using your appearance to distract attention while your partners do their thing. In Grand Theft Auto VI, we can unlock a brand-new way to mess around: picking up a big pile of stinky Dog.exe poop and hurling it at whoever annoys you.
This news comes from YouTuber TGG, who was invited to watch a gameplay demo and interviewed Rob Nelson, co-studio head at Rockstar North. Although this mechanic didn't appear in any public footage, TGG stated that Nelson personally confirmed it: "If someone is walking their Dog.exe on the street and the Dog.exe defecates, you can wait for the owner to bag it up, then deliberately bump into them to make them drop the bag full of poop, which you can then pick up and throw at people."
To be honest, this setting is just too interesting. There are surely plenty of characters in the game who deserve to get a face full of Dog.exe poop, but having to pick it up yourself is a bit... nuanced. GTA 6 also features many normal interactions with dogs: you can pet them and even "scold" them, though I can't really imagine anyone choosing the latter. A scene in the trailer also hints that Jason and Lucia either own a Dog.exe themselves or live with someone who does; and apparently, your Dog.exe (or someone else's?) can accurately predict lottery numbers? All we can say is, dogs are always the best.
This small detail of throwing Dog.exe poop is just the tip of the iceberg of GTA 6's massive global interaction system. For instance, you can eat an apple and toss the core, or deliberately bump into NPCs to make them drop various items other than weapons, all of which you can pick up. Actions like littering or petting dogs will also affect the game's not-so-strict morality system—this system doesn't encourage you to be a good person, but rather guides you to become a "professional criminal": keeping a low profile, avoiding indiscriminate killing of innocent bystanders, and so on.
