In its latest announcement, Clovers revealed the addition of four heavyweight composers and sound designers:

Hiroshi Yamaguchi has confirmed his joining of the team. He previously served as the lead composer for Bayonetta and created music for numerous titles, including the original 2006 Okami, Bayonetta 2, Bayonetta 3, and Star Fox Zero.

Hitomi Kurokawa has also joined, having composed music for the Bayonetta series and The Wonderful 101. Aoba Nakanishi is also on board, having served as the lead composer for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon in 2023.

Hideki Kamiya has also reunited with his long-time collaborator, sound designer Misaki Shindo. Shindo served as the lead sound designer for The Wonderful 101 and NieR: Automata, and contributed to the sound production of every Bayonetta game.

Additionally, Hiroki Niwa, who contributed to the sound design of Ninja Gaiden 4 and Bayonetta 3, has also joined the team.

Clovers was co-founded in 2024 by Hideki Kamiya and Kenji Koyama, the co-director of Sol Cresta (2021). Previously, Kamiya left PlatinumGames in 2023, followed by several core members who subsequently resigned to join him at this new independent studio.

Clovers is currently operating independently and is collaborating with Capcom to develop a sequel to the classic 2006 adventure game Okami. Kamiya has stated that he hopes the Bayonetta series will expand to nine titles, creating a "legendary chapter," but admitted that he may not be able to fully realize this vision. He remarked in 2023, "It's unfortunate; I don't own the Bayonetta IP, but perhaps those who do will continue it."

Notably, after experiencing staff departures, PlatinumGames broke its silence for the first time this January to discuss future plans, announcing the Ninja Gaiden 4 project in collaboration with Koei Tecmo and Microsoft. Additionally, the studio has taken on contract work for titles such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin and eFootball.
