Polyphony Digital's Tokyo studio simultaneously released a new trailer for the car. The RX-VISION GT3 Evo is an evolved version of the RX-VISION GT3 Concept, with the original model representing Mazda in the Gran Turismo World Series for the past six years.

The original Mazda RX-VISION GT3 Concept made its debut in Gran Turismo Sport in 2020, and upon the release of Gran Turismo 7 in 2022, the car was added to the game's vehicle roster.

Ikuo Maeda, Mazda Spirit Racing representative and senior brand design director, introduced the development philosophy of the new race car in the announcement video. Maeda spearheaded Mazda's signature "Kodo" design language and was also responsible for the original RX-VISION.

Ikuo Maeda stated, "I absolutely refuse to compromise on the beauty and presence of the RX-VISION. On that foundation, I wanted to showcase its evolution as a competitive racing machine."

The RX-VISION GT3 Evo retains the visual characteristics of the original concept car while undergoing comprehensive upgrades for competitive racing. Mazda has confirmed that this new race car will officially launch in Gran Turismo 7 later this year.

Gran Turismo 7, developed by Polyphony Digital, launched on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2022 and has maintained a steady schedule of regular content updates since its release.

The game blends the GT Simulation Career mode with the competitive Sports Mode, featuring a vast collection of cars and tracks, along with high-precision vehicle modeling and realistic physics simulation systems.

Recent updates have continued to expand the game's garage lineup, adding new models such as the 1991 Mazda RX-7 Type R FD3S, the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Race Modified, and the 2021 Renault Captur.

Later this year, the addition of the Mazda RX-VISION GT3 Evo will bring another new racing machine to the Gran Turismo 7 vehicle lineup.
