At the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2026, Polish game developer CDPR officially announced the remastered version of the classic open-world action RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Meanwhile, the price of the original game on Steam quietly increased: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition, originally priced at 149 yuan, is now 199 yuan.
However, CDPR also stated that players who own the original version can upgrade to the remastered version for free, and the two well-received DLCs, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, will be automatically given to players. This remastered version will bring a comprehensive upgrade in technology and gameplay to The Witcher 3, covering graphics, combat, skill progression, and more.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will be officially released on September 29 on all platforms where the original version was available.
