At the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2026 today (August 26), a new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword was revealed. It showcased the newly introduced Phantom Demon brothers, Ifu and Furai, as well as Musashi's combat moves after his full awakening.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC on September 4. The official announcement stated that the demo has received an expanded update, broadening the playable area. Players can fully experience sword-fighting action in the Hidden Village of the Oni, battling various Phantom Demons and facing off against the formidable boss, Datsura.
