Aniplex, under Sony Music Entertainment, announced on August 31 that it has officially taken over the publishing of the new title Fate/EXTRA Record, previously published by Bandai Namco. Details will be revealed in mid-September. Adapted from the well-known light novel series of the same name, the game is scheduled to launch on PC (Steam), PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
·Fate/EXTRA Record is a high-definition remake of the 2010 PSP game Fate/EXTRA, built with Unreal Engine, supporting 4K resolution, with fully 3D character models and environments.
·The game was originally scheduled for release in 2025, but was later delayed to spring 2026. In March 2026, the official announcement stated that the release date has been postponed indefinitely due to adjustments in the development structure and a change of publisher.
