First, AI features have been reintegrated. The original AI Wangzai and AI Lingdong expression capabilities have been consolidated and upgraded, with a brand-new central AI service portal now available.
Currently, eight commonly used AI capabilities, including AI Assist Writing, emoji search, composite emojis, AI search, text posters, Cola Flash Notes, text translation, and selfie emojis, are all centralized in this portal for easier access and invocation.
Meanwhile, Sogou Input Method has also upgraded the dual-entry experience for its AI services.
A permanent AI service entry has been added to the keyboard toolbar, which can be opened with a single click when needed. During typing, an AI entry will also automatically appear on the left side of the suggestion area based on the input content.
This means that when users need assistance with creative writing, finding emojis, or translating content during chats, they can directly access these features without leaving the current input interface.
Among these upgrades, AI Assist Writing has also been improved with new image creation capabilities. It can directly recognize chat screenshot scenarios and generate corresponding copy based on context, eliminating the need to manually describe backgrounds for daily replies or short sentence creation.
In addition to AI capability adjustments, this update also brings a complete refresh to the keyboard interface.
The new keyboard further simplifies the visual design for a fresh and appealing look. All toolbar icons are now vertically centered, Pinyin strings have been uniformly moved to the candidate bar, and the user experience has been unified across both Android and iOS platforms.
For custom and third-party skins, the new version has also been optimized for compatibility, reducing display issues such as stretching, whitespace, and misalignment.
The toolbox has been reclassified according to usage scenarios, allowing more functions to be displayed. Users can directly search by category, reducing aimless scrolling and repeated searching.
Additionally, new transition animations have been added to page switches to further enhance operational smoothness.
It is worth mentioning that, in addition to visual and interaction adjustments, the new version of Sogou Input Method has officially achieved full coverage upgrade for the Android system.
In terms of the dictionary, 9,793 rare characters from the national standard have been added, fully supporting all rare characters specified in the new national standard GB 18030-2022.
