Recently, the Korean premium anime-style game "Dragon Sword: Awakening" announced the upcoming launch of Steam Workshop support. However, the overly restrictive rules regarding mods faced backlash from players. In response to this misstep, the developers chose to temporarily withdraw the announcement, and the many previous restrictions on mods will not take effect.
The developers have apologized for the significant confusion and concern caused to the community by their previous announcements regarding Steam Workshop support and MOD policies. They stated that they are taking the feedback received after the announcement very seriously.
The previously released Mod Guidelines document has been withdrawn and will not be implemented; the policies mentioned in the [Prior Announcement] never took effect, and nothing has been applied. However, there are two minimal principles regarding mod creation: first, actions that infringe upon the rights of users who have purchased the game or DLC, such as using mods to unlock the game or unpurchased DLC content; second, the unauthorized use of content that has not yet been officially released.
Finally, the developers stated that they will thoroughly re-evaluate their approach to supporting Steam Workshop. In the future, if similar announcements are needed, they will conduct thorough reviews and engage in sufficient communication with the community before making any statements.
