On August 24, 2026, 4A Games officially revealed detailed information about the Metro 2039 Collector's Edition, with the most notable feature being a life-size replica of the combat helmet worn by the protagonist, the "Stranger."

This Spartan helmet replica is directly based on the protagonist's 3D model from the game, retaining the hinged visor and iconic integrated gas mask elements. The surface features battle damage, scratches, and personalized modification details, recreating the worn-out texture of the post-apocalyptic environment. According to the official announcement, players can actually wear this helmet on their heads.
The official description states: "With this meticulously crafted and authentic replica of the 'Stranger's' battle-worn helmet, you will truly become a tangible part of this world." This also marks the first time in the Metro series' history that a Collector's Edition includes a physical helmet replica.
This helmet replica will be on display at Gamescom this week, where players can visit the official booth in Hall 9.1 to view it up close. The booth will also offer a playable demo of the game, allowing participants to experience the gameplay firsthand.
Pre-orders for the Collector's Edition will open later this year, with specific pricing yet to be announced. Metro 2039 is scheduled to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in February 2027. The game is currently available to wishlist on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
