Today (August 26), at the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2026, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered was officially announced. It is scheduled for release on September 29. Owners of the original version can upgrade for free without any additional cost. A new trailer for the new DLC, "Old Times," was also revealed.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered will feature comprehensive upgrades, with a complete overhaul of the game's visuals and combat system. It adds new finishing move animations, expands photo mode functionality, and includes numerous adjustments and optimizations to game details. The remastered edition will include the DLCs "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood and Wine," encompassing all core content of the game.
The new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, "Old Times," is a brand-new episodic expansion. Players will once again assume the role of Geralt of Rivia to embark on a fresh adventure. CDPR states that its scale is comparable to "Blood and Wine," positioning it as the final chapter of Geralt's story while also serving as a bridge to The Witcher 4. This DLC will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2027, with a specific release date yet to be announced.
