Take-Two CEO Confirms He Will Not Appear in GTA 6

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick previously appeared as a playable character in WWE 2K26. Now, the executive has explained how it all came about while confirming that he will not appear in the open-world crime game GTA VI.

Zelnick told IGN that his appearance in WWE 2K26 was simply because he asked the team to make it happen, not due to strong demands from inside or outside the game for him to be included.

“I asked around, then I went to the studio and did motion capture. We all had a great time. But it wasn’t a joke; it was a rare moment. I said, ‘I think this would be fun. Let’s give it a try.’ And everyone said, ‘Sure.’”

He said he enjoys WWE and “thought it would be fun for industry insiders and possibly interesting for some consumers as well.”

“By the way, it turned out that many people played the game, and the response was very positive. But the online reaction was a bit lukewarm, like, ‘Huh?’ I think I deserved that.”

GTA VI is set to launch on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game will be showcased in detail via Netflix on August 28, but many fans have expressed dissatisfaction with Rockstar’s decision to make the latest trailer for the game pay-per-view.
