Even more intriguingly, the leak suggests that after his appearance at Opening Night Live, Hirabayashi will host a closed-door press event for media and creators, where new details about Resident Evil: Code Veronica may be revealed.
Given the widespread speculation that Resident Evil: Code Veronica would launch before the Requiem DLC, it would make sense for Capcom to position this title as the next major focus of the Resident Evil series' marketing. The leak claims that Yoshiaki Hirabayashi will appear alongside Geoff Keighley at Opening Night Live on August 25. If true, the announcements could be far more substantial than players expect.
However, the authenticity of this leak has been widely questioned. On one hand, Capcom has only released a short teaser trailer so far, leaving a significant gap before the game's official release next year.
