According to foreign media reports, GTA 6 will not feature any microtransactions at launch, and no generative AI technology was used during its development.
On the Kinda Funny Games podcast, Kinda Funny's Andy Cortez and Greg Miller revealed that they asked Rob Nelson, head of Rockstar North, whether GTA 6 would include microtransactions or use generative AI during development. Both stated that the answer to both questions was "no."
The New York Times also reported: "Rockstar stated that GTA 6 features over 600,000 animations, compared to 55,000 in GTA V and 300,000 in Red Dead Redemption 2."
The article further confirmed that Rockstar emphasized the game's "handcrafted" nature.
