In this unboxing video, the back of the Xbox Series physical edition box prominently displays the text "Download Required." This means the disc does not contain all the data needed for the first launch, and players must connect to the internet to download the remaining files before they can play the game.
It is currently unclear whether this restriction applies only to the Xbox Series version, or if the PS5 physical edition also has the same online download requirement. The developers have not yet confirmed this.
"Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy" is the third entry in the "A Plague Tale" series, with its story set 15 years before the events of "Requiem." Players will assume the role of a young Sophia, who was once a fierce and combative raider, as she stumbles upon a mysterious island called "Minotaur Island" during an escape.
