Furthermore, Musk expects that by the end of 2027, AI will be capable of performing all tasks in the digital domain, meaning work that does not require direct human manipulation.
On the software front, AI programming capabilities could reach "Stockfish-level" by next year, making it impossible for humans to compete with AI in software development; within the next 12 to 18 months, AI's proficiency in various engineering and other digital fields will become "exceptional."
In the field of robotics, Musk predicts that the global number of humanoid robots will exceed one billion within the next decade, with each robot's productivity being at least five times that of a human. He believes that humanoid robots could expand the scale of the global economy by more than tenfold.
Musk also warned that the AI industry is facing a shortage of power supply, bluntly stating that this is no longer a distant issue.
He predicts that by 2027, AI chips may face a power shortfall of at least 15 gigawatts, as the production growth rate of AI chips is around 40%-50%, while the growth rate of electricity generation outside China is only about 10%-20%; the faster-growing curve will overwhelm the slower one.
For other countries, building substantial electricity capacity, hosting AI data centers, and taxing or charging reasonable fees for them will be an "opportunity."
