Developers from the independent studio Dazed Games have officially announced that the chaotic co-op simulation game Fishing Force has achieved remarkable success. Just two days after its official release, the total number of users on the PC platform surpassed 1 million. The creators issued a celebratory statement, sincerely thanking the entire fan community for their tremendous interest in the game.
This is a casual fishing simulation game. Unlike other fishing games, after hooking a fish, you must engage in combat with it, depleting its health bar before you can reap your catch. The game offers a wide variety of firearms for players to use, ranging from pistols to assault rifles. More importantly, the game requires players to accumulate "Hao Yi" (Swag Points). Using flashy methods to kill fish increases their value (grilling them works too); the more "swag," the higher the value. In addition to expressing gratitude, the developers confirmed their long-term development plans for the title. The team has formally committed to regularly releasing free content updates and actively fixing discovered code bugs. Meanwhile, the developers quickly released the first two technical patches, 1.0.4 and 1.0.5, to urgently address balance issues and improve the gaming experience. The creators increased the maximum lobby capacity to 8 players and added the ability to create private rooms via invitations. The developers nerfed the stats of pufferfish and whales, made the route to the final island more obvious, and fixed a bug that allowed players to improperly move to any unreleased area.
Fishing Force is now officially available on the Steam digital store. The game is currently offering a launch discount of 38%, priced at ¥24.46, which will last until August 27, 2026. The title is also fully compatible with the portable Steam Deck device and provides stable frame rates.
