The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu (released on August 27) will feature a special section on the Dynasty Warriors series, using a newly illustrated image of Zhao Yun as its cover, recreating his classic scene of breaking through enemy lines to protect Adou.
Producer Tomohiko Sho stated, "Since we're doing a special feature on the series, Zhao Yun, as the face of Dynasty Warriors, is the natural choice. This newly illustrated cover is definitely worth paying attention to." This issue focuses on design and visuals, tracing the evolution of character art throughout the series, featuring interviews with the development team and player surveys, while also dedicating significant space to introducing the content of Dynasty Warriors 2 with Xtreme Legends Remastered.
Dynasty Warriors 2 with Xtreme Legends Remastered will be released on October 1 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. This title integrates the content of Dynasty Warriors 2 and Xtreme Legends, adding new mechanics such as dodging, counterattacks, and weapon synthesis on top of the HD remaster to optimize the combat feel. Enemy AI aggression has been enhanced, introducing tactical gameplay elements like guard-breaking Musou attacks and charged bow shots, while also providing full support for Chinese voice acting.
