Nintendo announced today that its classic game Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has suddenly received update 4.0, primarily adding support for Switch 2 along with various optimizations and adjustments.
· Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an enhanced version of the Wii U title Mario Kart 8 with additional content. It launched on Switch in April 2017, with its previous update released in May 2025.
· The latest version 4.0 mainly adds support for Switch 2, implements multiple performance optimizations and adjustments, supports USB camera gameplay, and includes other changes such as adjustments to certain game balance aspects.
