On September 2, Capcom released a new promotional video for the massive expansion "Lingyue" for Monster Hunter Wilds, highlighting the new equipment, the "Amplification Bracer," and the Amplified Action system it introduces. This expansion will continue the main storyline, adding new stories, new regions, new monsters, and Master Rank quests.
Amplified Action Introduction:
Weapon Introduction - Great Sword:
The Amplification Bracer is an armlet-like device equipped on the left arm. Hunters can build up energy through aggressive combat to activate the "Amplified State," which enhances character action performance for a limited time and unlocks new moves and combo extensions for each weapon type. Players can also enter the Amplified State at any point during an action. Furthermore, activating the Amplification Bracer allows the use of a powerful new move called the "Amplified Activation Action."
As seen in the UI, the Amplification Bracer has an energy gauge and a stock count (showing 3 stocks on the right). Consuming one stock activates it. The specific control scheme (using an Xbox controller as an example) is the RB+Y+B button combination.
The Great Sword's amplified action demonstrations include:
· Dash forward using the Amplified Activation Action
· Unleash a charged explosive slash
· Double Clash
· Follow up with a powerful attack after knocking back enemies
Some actions in the non-amplified state have also changed. Capcom stated that introduction videos for the amplified actions of the remaining 13 weapons will be released daily in the future.
Monster Hunter Wilds is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam), with a Nintendo Switch 2 version currently in development. The massive DLC "Lingyue" is scheduled for release in 2027. Additionally, the Monster Hunter Wilds Prologue Demo, which allows save data transfer to the full version, is now available.
