Unlike most Windows handhelds that attempt to run games locally, the Lenovo C700 is built around cloud gaming and streaming technology, which Lenovo claims makes it thinner and lighter than typical handhelds on the market.
The C700 supports Tencent START Cloud Gaming, delivering up to 60 FPS in games like Black MYTH - Steam Edition: Wukong with end-to-end latency under 10 milliseconds. The device also runs Lenovo's proprietary streaming software, which the company says is deeply optimized to make the cloud gaming experience feel closer to playing on a standard gaming platform.
The C700 weighs approximately 556 grams, is 14.9 mm thick, and features a 7.82-inch 120Hz IPS LCD screen. Lenovo states that this handheld PC is nearly 300 grams lighter than typical Windows handheld PCs.
In terms of controls, it features TMR sensor joysticks to prevent drift, Hall effect linear triggers, an omnidirectional D-pad, two back buttons, and two shoulder buttons, all of which support custom mapping.
Lenovo's streaming software includes one-click streaming, supporting both offline and high-speed streaming modes. It also provides a control center for real-time performance monitoring and quick access to controller settings, fan speed, and display options. A separate performance widget allows users to adjust joystick sensitivity, button mapping, and game modes on the fly.
For battery life, it comes with an 8000mAh battery, providing up to 9 hours of usage on a full charge.
