In this best-of-five series, KT selected Kalista for the bot lane and Pantheon as their jungler. In the late-game team fights, KT attempted to use Kalista's "Rend" combined with Smite to secure the Elder Dragon, but miscalculated the damage, leaving the target with 470 HP after using their abilities.
Gen.G's jungler Canyon seized the opportunity to secure the Elder Dragon, successfully contesting it twice in a row during the match, which became a pivotal moment in the series. Gen.G ultimately won without dropping a single game, finishing the match 3-0.
LCK has a total of four spots for the World Championship this year, with HLE, T1, and Gen.G already securing three of them. The final spot will be decided among KT, BFX, and DK.
Under this year's tournament format, both the LCK and LPL have four teams each that can directly advance to the Swiss Stage of the World Championship top 16, bypassing the Play-In stage. The allocation of the remaining LCK slots is still to be determined by subsequent matches.
