The open-world multiplayer survival sandbox game DayZ Cool Edition has officially launched on the Switch 2 platform and is available for purchase via the Nintendo eShop. Developer Bohemia Interactive announced that the game will feature a 15% discount during its first week of release, priced at $59.49. This offer will last until September 3, after which the price will return to $69.99.
DayZ Cool Edition includes three distinct maps: the classic Chernarus (230 square kilometers, inspired by the real landscapes of northern Czech Republic), the forested Livonia (168 square kilometers), and the newly introduced icy archipelago of Sakhal (83 square kilometers, excluding ice surfaces), which brings new survival challenges in harsh cold environments.
The game supports up to 60 players per server, with interactions full of unpredictability—players can cooperate or engage in hostile confrontations. Voice chat and emote systems enable communication, but every encounter can lead to different outcomes.
DayZ was previously available on Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam). The launch of the Switch 2 version marks further expansion of the game's console player base.
