As early as May this year, TP-Link officially announced the Archer 8, its first Wi-Fi 8 router platform based on the IEEE 802.11bn standard. TP-Link stated that this is the first step in its broader Wi-Fi 8 product line, representing the earliest and most complete consumer Wi-Fi 8 rollout strategy in the industry to date, aiming to deliver ultra-high reliability, lower latency, and more stable real-world performance for the entire connected home experience.
Recently at IFA 2026, TP-Link unveiled its first consumer-grade Wi-Fi 8 routers, the Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra, branding them as the "world's first complete Wi-Fi 8 series."
The Archer 8 Ultra BN19000 (Archer BN800) is premium hardware crafted by TP-Link for the new era of home networking, setting a new standard for wireless router design with exquisite craftsmanship. It features a minimalist shape that balances aesthetic design with performance-oriented engineering, creating a sophisticated, modern, and high-end tactile and visual experience.
The new product is a tri-band Wi-Fi 8 router, offering wireless speeds of up to 19 Gbps and a 10 Gbps wired connection. With 18 built-in high-performance antennas, it provides strong and stable signal coverage throughout the entire home.
The Deco 8 Ultra BN22000 (Deco BN85) is a tri-band Wi-Fi 8 mesh distributed system, offering wireless speeds of up to 22 Gbps (US version) / 19 Gbps (EU version) and a 10 Gbps wired connection. Its three components can cover an area of 9,800 square feet and support connections for over 200 devices.
The Archer 8 Ultra BN19000 will be the first to launch on September 30, 2026, while the Deco 8 Ultra BN22000 is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027. According to TP-Link's plans, the Roam 8 (Wi-Fi 8 portable router) will arrive in the second quarter of 2027, followed by Wi-Fi 8 extenders and adapters in the same period.
